Forest Floor Mulch has been created using carefully selected tree trimmings that are aged to create a golden-brown colour and are then graded to produce an attractive natural mulch. Size ranges from 20-40mm.

Using mulch offers several benefits, including maintaining a more even soil temperature, preventing weed growth when applied at a depth of 100mm, and helping to retain soil moisture during warmer months, which reduces the need for frequent watering. Additionally, mulch prevents soil from becoming boggy in winter and drying out in summer. For best results, apply a layer of at least 100mm if you're not using weedmat to effectively block weeds and retain moisture. If you are using weedmat underneath, a 100mm layer is still beneficial but not as crucial. This is the best choice for mulching, effective in high wind areas and against birds as it locks together due to high cambium content.
