Using mulch offers several benefits, including maintaining amore even soil temperature, preventing weed growth when applied at a depth of100mm, and helping to retain soil moisture during warmer months, which reducesthe need for frequent watering. Additionally, mulch helps prevent soil frombecoming boggy in winter and drying out in summer.

For best results, apply a layer of at least 100mm if you'renot using weedmat to effectively block weeds and retain moisture. If you areusing weedmat underneath, a 100mm layer is still beneficial but not asessential.
