We currently have a vacancy for a full time Yardperson to join our team at our busy landscaping manufacturing and supply business in Harewood.
Urban Paving offer New Zealand’s widest range of concrete, natural stone and outdoor porcelain pavers right here in Christchurch, complemented by our extensive selection of landscape supplies. Advanced equipment allows us to offer a blend of the South Island’s finest aggregates and specialty stones. Urban Paving also have a Rural & Roading Production division which produces Smart Water Troughs, Sumps, and other concrete products.

We are looking for a highly motivated team member with the following skills and attributes:
- Honest and reliable with a “can-do” attitude and flexibility to get jobs done
- Enjoy working in an outdoor environment
- Physically fit as some heavy lifting may be required
- Full drivers’ licence
- Ideally have F and W licence endorsements (training can be provided)
- Flexibility with working hours including early starts and occasional weekend work may be required
- Has excellent customer services skills, is friendly and can communicate easily with all types of people.
Main responsibilities include:
- Picking, packing, wrapping, and despatching of customer orders
- Loading customer orders (using forklift and loader)
- Cutting of paving stones
- General yard maintenance
- Assisting with customer services
- Assisting in other areas of the business as and when required (Rural & Roading and Paving Production)
