We recently supplied the team at Folium Landscaping with some our Natural Split Cloud Sandstone Paving for one of their projects, read on for the full story and images of the finished project, it’s a real show-stopper!
The Brief:
Folium Landscaping worked from a design plan to transform a grassy lifestyle block into an accessible space, entertaining area and beautiful lifestyle garden.
The Process:
Their first task was to excavate the property to create four distinct levels. Working with the natural slope of the section, they built each tier in line with the site’s contour, building each layer up rather than needing to dig down.
- Level one: Accessway and planting
- Level two: Lawn and patio area
- Level three: Pool and patio area with connecting pathway
- Level four: An open lawn space
They have used our Cloud Sandstone pavers, and coping stones throughout the project and in many ways. According to the team at Folium, they are the “focal point of the property.”
Using our pavers to create patios, pathways and steps, the Folium team has created a space that combines all the enjoyable features of outdoor living – alfresco dining with friends and family, lawn games, or the simple pleasure of relaxing with a book in the sun.
Our pavers bring an exciting textural element to the section. At the same time, a considered mix of additional materials and planting add to this profile, a profile that will continue to evolve as the property ages.
Result:
Folium’s clients now have a usable, low maintenance garden easily accessible from many parts of the house. Cleverly designed pathways interconnect all four levels. Each level has a distinct purpose and textural profile and will provide many hours of enjoyment for the clients family and friends.
